While driving home with Mama and Dada....

Audrey: "Pardon me Mama.... Pardon me Mama!!!!!"

Mama: "Audrey just a second. I'm trying to tell Dada something."

Audrey: "But pardon me Mama!"

Mama: "Audrey I'm talking to Dada. You talk to Whitaker."

(pause)

Audrey: "I don't want to talk to Whitaker! He doesn't talk!"

Whitaker = 1 Year!

I can not believe that my baby is already 1 year old. Where did all of my time go?

*Crawling at mach speed/ only kind-of interested in walking. Its just more fun to be carried everywhere I guess.

*Cruising around furniture

* Saying "Hi" whenever I walk into the room. It really makes you feel like a million bucks.

*Says "Ah-udee". Only once of twice but it sure does make my heart melt.

*Giving out tons of kisses

*Loves to cuddle

*Eats anything you put in front of him until you take it away. A vast contrast to Audrey!

*Still taking Two 2 hour naps! Amazing!

*Loves loves loves babies. He's got such a gentle heart.

*Using the signs for "more" and "all done"

*Looking more and more like Ryan everyday!

More Cardboard Creations

We have a lot of left over cardboard, and since it takes me forever to take it to the recycle place, we've been making lots of things out of it... Here is our cardboard train being pulled around the corner with all of her "friends" inside.

Our Birthdays

Ryan and I have birthdays two days apart so we always have a joint party and its always a blast.... And since we are currently obsessed with The Henpeck Market it was only fitting for us to have it there. Ah memories!! (Thanks for the pics Em!)

Its the little things....

Audrey is currently obsessed with cramming herself into tiny spaces that aren't big enough for a two year old. But this one has been my favorite so far.

It's amazing how much fun you can have with a laundry basket and a pair of socks!

Well so much for the baby bed

Audrey thought that the baby bed we made for her baby Lulu was so comfy that she decided to get in it herself. And of course this resulted in a great photo op. And tears immediately followed when she showed me this...

The Unofficial Bathroom Remodel

{Before}

OK, so we have always hated the tiled floors in our bathroom. They just always looked dirty and disgusting. (No offense Chris and Jenny) No matter how much I cleaned them they just looked awful. Every time Ryan would walk in the bathroom he would moan about how people prolly wondered if we ever cleaned our house or something to that effect. The grout was just too dark and it was all uneven and messy.

Since we can't afford to have the whole bathroom re-tiled, and we surely would never be able to do it ourselves, (Come on, give me a break. I married a writer/film maker. We have no illusions of being fixer upper people.) I decided to paint the whole mess to cover it up. Spent hours online researching it to make sure it would take. And one week while Ryan was in LA I took the plunge. I tend to try new things while Ryan is out of town. I guess that's what he gets for leaving me alone at home. Hours of scrubbing, and sanding and priming and finally painting.... and voila! I whole new bathroom... or as close as we will get for the time being.

{After}

The top pictures makes it look a little purple, but I assure you that it is not. I don't think Ryan would have been at all pleased to come home and find purple bathroom floors.

Chris McClarney's (The worship leader at Ryan and I's church) worship album is available on iTunes. It will totally rock your socks off. If you love authentic worship music you will LOVE this album. It's a daily listen for me. Audrey has most of the songs memorized because we listen to it so much in the car (Don't tell G-Daddy wink, wink) And while you're at it, Ryan's album is still up on iTunes as well if any of you don't have it yet. It's another one on constant rotation at our house, naturally. **Update: The Leeland album came out today (8/25/09). I am so excited for you all to hear uncle Jack Jack's music. The song "Pure Bride" Is our families favorite. Such an amazing and challenging song!**
